The conceptualization and design development of new furnishings and related product for the Education and Healthcare environments.
- Working with stakeholders to define new product objectives and strategies
- Developing multi-concept product proposals
- Defining and prioritizing user requirements
- Preparing concept and design documentation and data
- Collaborating with engineers and manufacturing units
- Participating in product testing
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- University Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture or Engineering
- 5+ years of commercial/contract furniture design
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Understanding of rapid prototyping technologies
- Strong organizational and design detailing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent visual language skills and well-developed sketching skills
- Developed interest in trends and market influences
- Team player but must be able to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- A high level of proficiency is required in the following:
- Adobe Photoshop

Programmer Analyst- Toronto, Ontario
The Programmer Analyst understands and translates business needs into AS400 software which supports ongoing activities and analyzes future needs for Payroll and Production. The Analyst provides technical systems support for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of automated systems applications. Duties include requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing and troubleshooting.
- Analyze the requirements for a program and defines its overall structures
- Analyze system/program problems and defines solutions
- Encodes, prepares test data, tests and debugs programs at various complexity levels
- Writes structured, well organized and documented, highly maintainable programs
- Prepares test data, test scenarios and test plans that ensure programs are working correctly prior to release
- Safely and efficiently implements developed projects into production environment
- Maintains and updates integrated software applications
- Designs application enhancements, interfaces and revised functions
- Assures proper integration with other computer systems to meet user requirements
- Provide application support, which includes problem research, analysis, resolution and oncall support
- Monitors changes in technology
- Remains up to date on current industry trends through courses, reading, online research, etc.
- Ensure the stability and reliability of the system
- Prepare technical documentation of new application, and procedural for the users
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in IBM ISERIES RPG programming within the Manufacturing Industry
- Considerable knowledge of IBM ISERIES operating system, programming languages, and development tools such as SDA, RLU, SQL, Query, and DFU
- Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel and Access and VBA programming
- Knowledge of the TL ASHFOLD Barcode Labelling Software
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with users
